Yellow Daisies

Have always avoided using black as predominent colour. Mixed with chrome and lemon yellow it made for some interesting shades in the green/yellow range of spectrum.

Quite like over all effect.

The flowers in your paintings are so intricate with beautiful handling of shadow and light and great choices in colours. It would be great to see more of this detail in the vases Marjorie, imho. r

I always look forward to seeing your new flower paintings. Each one is so different and lovely. Are these flowers all from your garden? How long does it take you to paint them? I'm curious because of the detail you put into your work.

Oh I love that background and the flowers are enchanting. Mine never have that much detail but I love painting and drawing them.

Lovely Marjorie - the little spots of yellow in the vase just complement the flowers perfectly.

I agree with the other comments Marjorie. This one in particular is beautiful both in its detail and overall effect :)

Rahina... Thanks for kind words...love the drama that light and shade can make...yes I plan to do more detail on vases..

Jean thanks...originally I did use my own flowers...have now a huge file of info that I use..some take longer than others...I like to use 'seasonal' flowers though.
